Conex Bänninger is the manufacturer of the >B< MaxiPro press system for hydrocarbon applications.

Conex Bänninger has become a bronze partner on shecco’s  Hydrocarbons21.com platform, joining some of the world’s leading natural refrigerant companies. Conex Bänninger specializes in the manufacture and distribution of fittings for domestic, commercial and industrial HVAC&R.

One of Conex Bänninger’s product lines is the flame-free  >B< MaxiPro press system for pipe joining. The >B< MaxiPro fittings are suitable for refrigeration, heat pumps and air conditioning applications using hydrocarbons like R290 (propane) and R600A (isobutane). The fittings are also suitable for systems using water (R718) as the refrigerant. They can withstand pressures of up to 48bar.

Conex Bänninger describes the >B< MaxiPro fittings as "quick and simple to install," and they provide a “secure” and permanent three-point press and a flame-free connection, with no hot works required, according to the company’s website. Compared to traditional techniques, the technology "significantly improves productivity through greatly reduced installation time and enhanced working flexibility," according to Laura Foley, Marketing Assistant at Conex Universal Ltd.

The fittings are constructed from a refrigerant grade copper alloy (UNS C12200), which is a minimum of 99.9% pure, and they come in both imperial and metric sizes from 1/4in to 1 3/8in (6mm to 28mm). They are equipped with a black HNBR O-ring, which has a temperature range of -40°C to 140°C (-40°F to 284°F).

One of the benefits to the >B< MaxiPro series is a 10-year product warranty, which is subject to the customer completing a free online course.

Conex Bänninger's parent company IBP Group is also a bronze partner on shecco’s R744.com platform.

IBP Group, which can trace its history back to 1873, is headquartered in the U.K., with production facilities in Europe, and offices around the globe. The company employs around 850 people.
