Secop has extended its range of hydrocarbon compressors operating with refrigerants R600a (isobutane) and R290 (propane). Since 2010 Secop, formerly known as Danfoss Compressors, has belonged to the German AURELIUS Group of companies.
A recent accomplishment for Secop was the launch of the KXV variable-speed household compressor, using environmentally friendly R600a.
KXV wins praise at China Refrigeration 2015
The new KXV is a hybrid of two of the most popular household compressor models by Secop, bringing together the efficient pump of the KAPPA compressor, and the external rotor motor technology of the XV compressor. The KXV used environmentally friendly R600a (isobutane) as the refrigerant.
The KXV variable speed compressor ranks-in with a COP of up to 2.24 when operating at -23.3°C / 45°C and reaches low noise figures of 28 dB(A). The product is extremely compact at only 139mm in height, and weighs only 5.3kg.
Product versatility features:
The KXV is most suitable for installation in freezers, combinations, side-by-side / French-door refrigerators and any appliance adhering with the upcoming energy efficiency standards in the household refrigeration market.
At the recent China Refrigeration Exhibition 2015, held in Shanghai from 9-11 April, Secop took home the “Innovation Award 2015” for the KXV compressor. The KXV will be released later in 2015, samples will be available from June 2015.
