Kicking-off 2013 ATMOsphere global events with the UNIDO ATMOsphere Technology Summit

After the success of 2012’s ATMOsphere events, shecco is eager to meet the increased demand for natural refrigerant workshops by announcing 6 events on 3 continents this year. Bringing together key policy makers and leading industry stakeholders in Vienna, Washington DC, Bangkok, Tokyo, Brussels and Kiev, ATMOsphere events seek to find the right natural solutions for every climate and every application in both developed and developing countries.

First up for 2013:

UNIDO ATMOsphere Technology Summit – Natural Solutions for developing countries
3-4 June at the Vienna Conference Center (VIC) in Vienna, Austria

shecco is partnering up, for the first time, with a UN agency (UNIDO: United Nations Industrial Development Organisation) to organise this event. The conference will focus on the refrigeration, air conditioning and foam sectors in developing countries, emphasising the challenges and opportunities faced when introducing natural solutions. Through panel discussions and real case studies, this technology summit provides end-users and manufacturers with practical and cost-efficient solutions, geared specifically towards developing nations.

ATMOsphere America 2013 – The Business Case for Natural Refrigerants
18-19 June at the Liaison Capitol Hill Hotel in Washington, DC

This annual meeting place for industry experts showcases the latest technologies, trends and regulatory issues concerning natural refrigerants in the U.S. and Canada. The conference brings together leading retailers, suppliers, associations and more for two days of presentations, workshops and networking. New features of the 2nd edition of ATMOsphere America will include more networking and discussion opportunities, as well as a post-conference summary report.

ATMOsphere OEWG33 (side event) – Policy Drivers and Examples of Natural Refrigerants around the World
June 27, 2013 in Bangkok, Thailand

Taking place during the UNEP’s (United Nations Environment Program) 33rd Meeting of the Open-Ended Working Group (OEWG33) of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, this panel discussion targets climate negotiators looking for technologically viable, safe and efficient alternatives to soon-to-be-phased-out chemical refrigerants. The side event offers an industry and policy perspective on Natural Refrigerants.

ATMOshpere Europe – Solutions for Europe
15-16 October, 2013 in Brussels, Belgium

Returning for its 5th edition, ATMOsphere Europe’s main theme for 2013 will be the viability of natural refrigerants as alternatives to F-gases, across Europe. Solutions involving CO2, ammonia, hydrocarbons, water and air will be highlighted through case studies, discussions, and sharing of experiences and expert opinions.

ATMOsphere MOP25 (side event) – Update on Natural Refrigerant Solutions
October 31, 2013 in Kiev, Ukraine

This ATMOsphere panel discussion will take place during the UNEP’s (United Nations Environment Program) 24th Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol (MOP24). Specifically targeting climate negotiators who seek technologically viable, efficient and safe alternatives to HCFCs, the side event will provides key information on natural refrigerant technology trends in Europe, as well as in Developing Countries. Updates on the latest developments concerning the EU F-Gas regulation will be one of the main topics of discussion.

ATMOsphere Asia 2014 – Technology and Innovation

3-5 February, 2013 in Tokyo, Japan

This will be shecco’s first-ever Asian ATMOsphere Conference on Natural Refrigerants. Held in Japan, a pioneering country in the NatRef industry, this event will focus on techniques for getting Asian technologies faster to the global market and bringing international suppliers to Asia. This workshop will feature Natural Refrigerant technologies and innovations from leading industry end-users, suppliers, academics and government representatives.
