The organizers of the 9th IIR Gustav Lorentzen Conference, which will be held in April 2010, are again accepting two-page paper abstracts in the field of natural refrigerants. Papers on latest research and technology options for hydrocarbons as a natural working fluid have to be submitted by July 27.

The International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) and the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (AIRAH) have issued the last call for papers for the 9th IIR Gustav Lorentzen Conference on Natural Working Fluids, to be held in Sydney on 12-14 April 2010. Deadline for the two-pages abstracts is 27 July, while the provisional acceptance of abstracts and the deadline for receiving full papers is due on 10 August 2009 and 12 October 2009 respectively.

The 2010 GL conference will bring together world-leading professionals in the field to discuss the latest research results and advances related to the use of natural working fluids, such as hydrocarbons, in different types of systems and application areas.

It is the first time that the Gustav Lorentzen conference will be held in the Southern Hemisphere, following previous successful events in Denmark (Copenhagen) 2008, Norway (Trondheim) 2006, UK (Glasgow) 2004, China (Guangzhou) 2002, USA (Purdue) 2000, Norway (Oslo) 1998, Denmark (Aarhus) 1996 and Germany (Hannover) 1994.

Papers are being sought on the following key topics:

  • Ammonia
  • Carbon dioxide
  • Water
  • Air
  • Indirect cooling
  • Commercial refrigeration
  • Industrial refrigeration
  • Heat transfer and heat exchangers
