The Climate and Clean Air Coalition is sponsoring the Commercial Refrigeration Technology Forum as a follow-up to the Bangkok Technology Conference, with a view of providing more detailed and focussed information related to one important sector where HCFCs and HFCs are used: commercial refrigeration. This workshop is targeted at the key government representatives in developing countries in charge of implementing the HCFC phase-out in their countries.

The Commercial Refrigeration Technology Forum will provide information on the technical, financial and environmental aspects of some of the key low-GWP, energy-efficient alternative technologies that are available or emerging in the commercial refrigeration sector, in order to help assess their potential applicability in developing countries and build confidence that low-GWP refrigeration technology is commercially viable and already being used in different markets. In addition, the event will provide a forum for a dialogue among government representatives, international organizations, industry, technology users and technology providers, on the opportunities and challenges involved in successfully adopting such technologies in developing countries.

The Commercial Refrigeration Technology Forum will take place in Montreal, Canada, on December 8, 2012, immediately after the 68th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Multilateral Fund for the Implementation of the Montreal Protocol, taking place from December 3-7, 2012.
