Danfoss hosts third Refrigeration Week

Danish HVAC&R component manufacturer Danfoss will host the third annual worldwide Refrigeration Week on September 16 - 20, 2019. This year’s event aims to prepare industry stakeholders to handle the increasing pace of transition to natural refrigerants.

"Refrigerant transition is an issue that affects installers all round the world, and the global nature of our Refrigerant Week reflects that,” said Torben Funder-Kristensen, Head of Public and Industry Affairs, Danfoss Cooling.

We want to help professionals everywhere to stay abreast of the latest issues and trends, but more importantly to contribute to the conversation and give their view,” Kristensen added.   

The event will cover a wide range of topics and include industrial and commercial refrigeration, as well as air conditioning. The packed program is aimed at installers, resellers, wholesalers, operators and OEMs. It will include webinars, podcasts and local training events.

The webinars will include sessions on:

• Handling flammable refrigerants
• New developments in CO₂ technology
• Moving on from R404A and R22
• Global refrigerant trends that impact your business 
• Digital tools to help conversion

To ensure global coverage, the event will include content in several languages and the webinars will be scheduled to give stakeholders in a wide variety of time zones the opportunity to participate.

“As we enter a new phase of environmental concern with skyrocketing CO₂ emissions, it's never been more important to discuss and debate refrigeration on a supranational scale - including the new amendments to the Montreal Protocol," Kristensen noted.
