Official call for HC case studies for ATMOsphere America 2014

Natural refrigerant focused technology case studies are now being accepted for the 3rd annual ATMOsphere America 2014, which will take place on 18 & 19 June in San Francisco, CA. Case studies should center on innovative technologies and projects relevant to the North American market. Submission deadline: 15 March 2014

The ATMOsphere Review Panel has officially announced a call for case studies for ATMOsphere America 2014 in San Francisco, California. Case studies should be based on completed or ongoing projects, best practices and lessons learned in the field of natural refrigerants (CO2, NH3, hydrocarbons, water and air). They should provide and analyse real life results relating to the energy efficiency, cost benefits and reliability of a HVAC&R technology using one or multiple natural refrigerants.

Case studies must be applicable to the North American market. Purely commercial or product focused case studies will not be accepted.

Abstract must satisfy the following criteria:

  • Sustainable: The case study should address the potential of natural refrigerant technology
  • Replicable: Lessons learned that could be applied to other projects in North America
  • Original: Technology innovations, research results that have not been shown elsewhere, new fields of application, etc.
  • Tangible: Examples of real life installations and demonstration projects, laboratory testing with tangible results, etc.
  • Efficiency analysis: Analysis of how the refrigerant influences the Coefficient of Performance (COP), comparison of different systems or parameters, etc.
  • Cost analysis: energy costs, operational costs, planning and installation costs, life-cycle costs

Author, content and format guidelines

*Specific abstract submission guidelines must be respected or the case study may not be considered. Information provided in the abstract will be used to announce the case study if it is chosen for ATMOsphere America 2014.

All case study submissions must include:

  • Author’s full name, organisation and email address
  • Case study title
  • An abstract (paragraph with at least 5 sentences)
  • Keywords
  • Relevance to the North American market

Presentation at the event

Presenters will have 12 minutes presentation time + a 3 minute Q&A. A case study draft presentation will need to be submitted two to three weeks prior to the event.

Case study presenters are entitled to a 50% reduced speaker rate for ATMOsphere America 2014.

Abstracts can be submitted via email to info@ATMO.org, indicating “ATMOsphere America 2014” in the subject line and in the case study itself.
