The ATMOsphere Review Panel is now accepting technology case studies focusing on innovative natural refrigerant projects relevant to the European market. Case studies will be presented at the upcoming ATMOsphere Europe 2013 conference, taking place on 15 & 16 October in Brussels, Belgium. Abstract submission deadline: 15 August, 2013.

A call for case studies has been issued for the fifth consecutive ATMOsphere Europe 2013 the meeting place for around 200 key HVAC&R industry specialists, interested in the latest natural refrigerant developments. This year, preference will be given to companies located in Southern Europe or projects that are relevant to that region.

Case studies must center on natural refrigerant (Hydrocarbon, CO2, ammonia, air and/or water) projects in Europe or projects that are directly relevant to the European market.

Application areas

  • Commercial & Light-Commercial Refrigeration
  • Industrial Refrigeration
  • Air Conditioning (Mobile & Stationary)
  • Heat Pumps
  • Transport
  • New areas of application

Case study criteria

Case studies should focus on product innovations, best practices and/or lessons learned in the field of natural refrigerants in Europe, ideally Southern Europe. The study should be a practical summary of an improved practice, rather than a formal, rigorous research paper. It should provide and analyse real-life results pertaining to the energy efficiency and reliability of a new HVAC&R technology using one or more natural refrigerants.

Abstract submissions

Abstract should satisfy the following criteria:

  • Sustainable: The case study should address the potential of natural refrigerant technology (CO2, ammonia, hydrocarbons, water and/or air)
  • Replicable: Lessons learned that can be applied to similar projects
  • Original: Technology innovations, research results that have not been shown elsewhere, new fields of application, etc.
  • Tangible: Examples of real life installations and demonstration projects, laboratory testing with tangible results, etc.

Abstract submissions should include:

  • Author’s full name, organisation and email address
  • Case study title
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Relevance to the European market

Case study presentations

Selected case studies will be presented at ATMOsphere Europe 2013 during parallel sessions grouped by field of application. Each presentation will have a time slot of 10-12 minutes, plus a 3 minute Q&A.

Submission Deadline: 15 August, 2013

Case study abstracts can be submitted via email to info@ATMO.org.
