Application for Natural Refrigeration Award 2013 now open

For the fifth time, the Natural Refrigeration Award will be presented by eurammon to graduates and young scientists for the most outstanding thesis or research papers on refrigeration technology using natural refrigerants. Call for papers is now open until 27 March 2013.

With the aim of boosting the interest of young graduates and scientists in further research in the field of natural refrigeration, eurammon in cooperation with the Faculty of Thermal Process Engineering at the University of Hamburg-Harburg, Germany, and the Norwegian trade journal KULDE og Varmepumper, will award three prizes during the ceremony that will be held at Schaffhausen, Switzerland, in June 2013.

The prize

Winners of the Natural Refrigeration Award will be selected by an international jury comprising of experts from science, industry and the media. Three young scientists will be awarded with a prize money amount of €5,000. In addition, the selected award winners will have the opportunity to present their theses or dissertations to an international expert audience during the award ceremony at Schaffhausen, Switzerland, in June 2013.

Application details

All graduates and young scientists of universities, polytechnics, colleges and similar educational institutions to participate, whose scientific paper has been accredited as a doctoral, master’s or bachelor’s thesis, or final paper for a similar degree, are encouraged to submit the application, provided the topic of the paper is devoted to the refrigeration technology using hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide, ammonia or water as a refrigerant. The paper also has to be graded between July 2011 and March 2013.
