Considerations by the awards judging panel

The panel of judges will come from the UK heat pump industry and will be looking for proven success and demonstrable excellence from each entry.

Regarding the four awards for the ‘installations of the year’, the panel will consider among other things the use of innovative products, tools or techniques and the environmental impact of the installation. For the ‘product innovation of the year award’ consideration will be given to the extent that the product has extended the boundaries of existing heat pump technology, its successful application as well as its environmental impact, among other issues.

The ‘training excellence award’ will also assess the innovation in training methods and media and the range and depth of training offered. The ‘public sector project of the year’ award will go to the housing association/local authority and the heat pump manufacturer who have delivered the most effective heat pump application in the public sector.

Finally, sponsored by Danfoss, the ‘installer of the year’ award will go to an individual that has understood the importance of ongoing training and professional development among other considerations, while the ‘heat pump champion’ award will recognise the contribution of a single individual in promoting the UK heat pump industry.
