The SLVE18CN is the most powerful hermetic reciprocating variable speed compressor for propane available on the market. Only the variable-speed design can obtain energy savings of up to 40% when compared to fixed-speed compressors in on/off operation mode.

SLV Compressors for R290 (Propane)

Aligned with the needs of leading supermarket freezer manufacturers in Europe, Secop has developed a variable speed compressor, the SLV, for light commercial applications. These cover chest freezers, stainless steel cabinets and more. As the total cost of ownership becomes more and more focussed in the food retail segments, variable speed compressors are the product of choice; only this design can obtain energy savings of up to 40% when compared to fixed speed compressors in on/off operation mode.

The SLV-Series goes a step further and incorporates sophisticated application circuitry within the motor controller for a higher level of system integration. With its five relay outputs (four neutral pass through and one galvanic isolated relay), a wide range of applications can be realised, e.g. defrosting (hot-gas or electrical), light switching, drain heating, control of evaporator fan, etc. Up to five sensor inputs can be used to log data, provide HACCP functionality and control the temperatures and system functions to tailor the SLV-Series to customer applications. The SLV compressor offers a display providing the necessary user interface, which shows critical information such as temperatures or system status.

Several programmable parameters - by the optional TOOL4COOL® configuration and monitoring software from Secop - and the on-board real time clock create new stand-alone functionalities such as scheduled de-frosting, night or weekend mode, etc.  By using the network functionality of the controller a master/slave architecture for remote controlled (or monitored) systems, with up to 247 separate units, can be built.
