Maarten ten Houten, Sustainability Manager Global Marketing at Heineken presented Heineken's measures to achieve it's CO2 emission reduction targets. Green fridges, using hydrocarbons play an important role to achieve these targets as cooling accounts for 29% of Heineken's carbon footprint. To rollout hydrocarbon coolers also in developing countries, Mr. ten Houten highlighted the importance of training to become confident with the technology.
