The Ministry of the Environment of Japan (MOEJ) has been providing financial assistance to the projects to introduce energy-efficient freezing/refrigeration equipment that uses natural refrigerants on the occasions of renewing the existing facility or building a new facility with a view to reducing the energy consumption in the operation of these facilities, CO2 emissions from the energy consumption, and emissions of CFC, HCFC, and HFC at the same time.
