Demonstration of climate-friendly technologies in developing countries

Titled "Technology cooperation & capacity development: demonstration of climate-friendly technologies in developing countries", this side event to the 7th meeting of the UNFCCC Technology Executive Committee (TEC) will be organised by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on behalf of the International Climate Initiative (ICI), financed by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU).

Presentations will provide practical experiences on issues of growing interest under the UN Technology Mechanism, such as the development of guidelines and roadmaps for HFC mitigation, energy efficiency in buildings and how intellectual property right (IPR) issues have been addressed in these cases.
