RED prevents issues in a store system by correlating its behavior with similar systems in the field.

Italian component manufacturer Carel will exhibit its management and control systems for natural refrigerants, including its new RED data analysis platform for supermarkets, at the Virtual Trade Show for natural refrigerant technologies.

The Virtual Trade Show, featuring 75 exhibitors, will take place live around the world over a 24-hour period on September 1-2. shecco, publisher of this website, is hosting the event. It is free to attend and interested parties can sign up here.

Carel’s stand is number 16 in hall E1 at the Virtual Trade Show.

“We have enthusiastically welcomed this new [show] formula, and we will be taking part not only as exhibitors, but also with an on-demand webinar available in the virtual hall throughout the 24-hour event”, said Sebastiano Di Lena, Group Marketing Manager – Food Retail at Carel. The webinar – “Solutions portfolio for natural refrigerants” – will examine high-efficiency solutions with natural refrigerants for every type of application.

Carel's RED data analysis platform

Carel’s RED platform enables centralized data gathering and monitoring of refrigeration installations at supermarkets, with the aim of optimizing system maintenance processes. RED will be used in the Heos and Heosbox semi-plug-in unit solutions, and is available for all Carel applications. The Heos control unit is designed for CO2 and propane (r290) systems in medium-to-low capacity commercial units.

Using RED, “a problem on a system is immediately correlated with the behavior of similar units installed in the field,” said Carel in a statement. ‘Possible malfunctions due to the same cause are highlighted in order to manage preventive maintenance activities before the problem spreads further.”

RED leverages “decades of experience in real field applications, thermodynamic expertise acquired in laboratory analysis and modern data mining and artificial intelligence technologies,” said Serena Ometto, After-Sales & Services Sales & Marketing Manager at Carel.

RED is also designed for “continuous evolution,” through the creation of custom dashboards and the introduction of new advanced preventive algorithms, Carel noted.

We have enthusiastically welcomed this new [show] formula, and we will be taking part not only as exhibitors, but also with an on-demand webinar available in the virtual hall throughout the 24-hour event."
