The NatRefs Show: Episode 65!

In this episode, we talk to an atmospheric scientist about SLCP Day and Ozone Day. We also hear from the US about new HFC phase-down plans launched at the State level.

Brought to you by shecco Media, the NatRefs Show provides a round-up of the most important natural refrigerants news from the websites ammonia21.comr744.com and hydrocarbons21.com.

In this episode shecco's North American Editor Michael Garry, editor of Accelerate America magazine, joins shecco's European Multimedia Reporter Charlotte McLaughlin to discuss the recent news that US States – namely that New York and Maryland (and later Connectictut, which was announced after the recording of the show) have decided to follow their own HFC phase-down plans.

Garry is also interviewed by McLaughlin about the new edition of the Accelerate America magazine and its cover story on the first transcritical CO2 installation in Mexico.

Later in the show, we interview Yangyang Xu, an assistant professor and atmospheric scientist at the Texas A&M University (a coeducational public research university) in College Station, Texas for the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer 2018 (16 September) and the Short Lived Climate Pollutant Day (SLCP, which include methane, HFCs and black carbon) day on 11 September. Xu recently co-authored several scientific papers on HFCs and SLCPs.

We’d love to hear your feedback as we improve the show. Contact us at journalists@shecco.com. Happy listening!
