Arneg exhibits propane-based waterloop solution at ARBS

Signalling growing interest in natural refrigerant systems, Arneg exhibited its new propane-based waterloop system as a part of its completely natural refrigerant-based display at ARBS 2018 in Sydney.

The propane waterloop system is part of Arneg's larger strategy of offering a complete suite of natural refrigerant-based solutions for commercial applications including a packaged transcritical CO₂ system and a plug-in transcritical CO₂ system.

"We talked at ATMOsphere yesterday about our four pillars of development," said Andrew Reid, national key account manager for Arneg Oceania.

"The first one being large CO₂ transcritical racks. The second one being CO₂ transcritical packaged units. The third one being propane waterloop systems. And the fourth one being transcritical plug-in range."

Reid explained that Arneg is seeing a broad trend towards natural refrigerants and that the company is responding by continuing to develop its natural refrigerant product range.

"The general direction is towards natural solutions," said Reid.

"We've shifted a long way from the last time we were displaying at ARBS two years ago. Completely natural solutions at our booth this year. It's what the industry expects. Obviously, we need to be involved in moving forward with those expectations. That's why we've decided to display some new products and some products we've developed over the last, say, 12 months."

Reid said the firm was very happy with the interest it had seen in its natural refrigerant-based solutions from the general public at the ARBS exhibition this year.

"This morning, we literally couldn't move in this area, we had so much interest," said Reid.

"Some people came by after the ATMOsphere conference yesterday saying that they were looking for a little bit more information, which was fantastic, so we invited everyone down here to ARBS. They came by and spoke to us in detail about what we are offering."

The Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Building Services Exhibition took place at the ICC in Sydney's Darling Harbour on 8-10 May.
