Key benefits of the NPT12FSC Variable Speed Compressor

In addition to reducing the power consumption by up to 50% as compared to a standard compressor, the variable feature together with the Smart Speed® function, reduces the pull-down or cool down times by means of spinning the NPT12FSC at a higher speed when needed.

Additional benefits include:

• Possibility of covering several standard compressor models for different cabinet volumes with just one compressor model
• Speed modification until achieving the longest-duty cycle possible (up to a maximum of 95%)

In this type of compressor, the optimum performance of the mechanics and electrical motor is about 2100–2200rpm. This is the speed at which the NPT12FSC performs the highest COP.

Real tests show 38,5% energy consumption savings with NPT12FSC

A test performed in a 340-liter ice cream cabinet proves the benefits of the NPT12FSC compressor in comparison to a standard efficiency compressor NP14FB, resulting in 38,5% energy savings improvement. This is achieved especially thanks to the COP values of the compressor and the variable speed drive feature.

The Smart Speed® feature in NPT12FSC allows for reduced pull down time by 16% as compared to the NP14FB, when the speed is set to a maximum of 3600rpm. Further energy savings are possible with additional devices such as high efficiency fan motors, a bigger condenser, low consumption lights and greater insulation thickness of the cabinet.
