Unilever and Coca Cola - Will they fully commit to hydrocarbons or other natural refrigerants for their bottle coolers and display cabinets? Will hydrocarbons be a viable solution for mobile air conditioning? And what impact will the new F-Gas proposal from the European Commission have on the future of hydrocarbons? These are just some of the questions to be discussed at ATMOsphere Europe 2012, taking place from 5-7 November in Brussels.

Already for the 4th time, ATMOsphere Europe will take place in Brussels from 5-7 November 2012 to bring together high-level speakers and participants from policy and industry to discuss and influence the future of hydrocarbons and other natural refrigerants.

Main theme this year is: ATMOsphere Europe 2012: Natural Refrigerants - Solutions for Europe. Therefore the emphasis will be put on case studies, experiences, and discussions - meaning solutions - about how hydrocarbons can be an efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative for different applications in Europe.

Programme: Case studies, policy, end users and market trends

The programme in general will be a balanced mix of policy issues with high-level speakers from the European Parliament, the European Commission and national representatives. As well as two end user sessions with leading consumer brands, supermarkets, breweries etc. sharing their experience and future plans. In addition, two sessions will be dedicated to technology case studies with innovative projects using one or multiple natural refrigerants.

Last but not least a market trends session presenting the latest developments and forecast for the market penetration of hydrocarbons and other natural refrigerants is planned. The whole programme will be rounded up by interactive workshops, panel discussions and networking time to ensure the best outcome for all participants.

As a novelty this year ATMOsphere Europe will have specialised parallel sessions on Tuesday afternoon to cover new and related topics including: Funding opportunities, NGOs, business networking, speed dating and more.
