Early-bird registration for 2012 Gustav Lorentzen conference ends on 15 April

The 10th edition of the biennial Gustav Lorentzen Conference on Natural Refrigerants will be held in the Netherlands on 25 - 27 June 2012, followed by technical tours on 28 June. The registration for the conference has been opened and a special early-bird fee is offered until 15 April.

The International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR), the Royal Dutch Association of Refrigeration and the Delft University of Technology will organise the next Gustav Lorentzen conference in Delft, Netherlands.

hydrocarbons21.com will attend and report live from the conference. Moreover, event participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the industry platform and latest developments in the area of natural refrigerants at the hydrocarbons21.com booth.

Programme and related activities

Some of the areas to be discussed during the event include:

  • Natural refrigerants systems
  • High temperature heat pumps
  • Energy efficiency in relation with used refrigerants
  • Low emission and low charge systems
  • Thermal energy storage


Following the conference, the participants will have an opportunity to choose one of the technical tours:

  • Industrial ammonia refrigeration plant
  • Supermarket-systems with natural refrigerants like ice slurry and/or CO2
  • Energy systems of a flower distribution centre;
  • Combined low temperature/high temperature energy system (e.g. swimming pool/ice rink refrigeration plant)
  • Low energy heat pump based greenhouse
