German compressor manufacturer Secop is in the process of consolidating its operations in Flensburg, aiming to provide better support for the company’s expansion and business development plans for the coming years.

Secop specializes in hydrocarbons and hermetic compressor technologies, with a portfolio containing several propane (R290) and isobutane (R600a) compressors for commercial applications, and the company has a growing focus on variable-speed models.

The new HQ is located in Flensburg, northern Germany, and combines the parent company Secop GmbH and a R&D center for motors and drives, which was previously located in Harrislee.

“The new building will enable Secop to combine all competences at one location to boost synergy effects and efficiency, as well as flexibility to support expansion plans,” the company said in a statement.

The new building will feature new show room experiences, better meeting facilities, charging stations for electric cars, and more. The R&D labs have already begun the move, and administration and logistics will follow before long.

In 2020, Secop celebrated its 10-year anniversary as a brand, having previously been known as Danfoss Household Compressors. The company also introduced a series of variable-speed R290 compressors for larger charge sizes, which can accommodate up to the new 500g charge limit set by IEC.

The new building will enable Secop to combine all competences at one location to boost synergy effects and efficiency, as well as flexibility to support expansion plans,” - Secop
