The event will still take place on September 28-29, and the announced program remains unchanged.

The 2021 edition of the ATMOsphere Europe Summit has changed format — shifting from a hybrid online/in-person event in Brussels to online-only, the organizer shecco (publisher of this website) announced on Friday.

The program for the summit remains the same, and the dates are still September 28-29, 2021.

The decision has been attributed to the current COVID-19 developments in Europe, where many countries are seeing increasing numbers of infections with the Delta variant, and in some case re-instating travel restrictions.

The summit program will feature discussions on the European Union (EU)’s F-Gas Regulation review, and the impact of HFO refrigerants on health, safety and the environment, among other new topics.

Key representatives will discuss the latest developments in the EU’s F Gas Regulation review, applicable regulatory issues, and standards impacting natural refrigerants in Europe. A panel discussion on the impact of refrigerants of our health, safety, and the greater environment will look at concerns about various refrigerant types, notably HFOs.

Other sessions will address HVAC and heat pumps, and transport and mobile air conditioning (MAC). The HVAC and heat pumps panel discussion will focus on the rapidly growing demand for commercial HVAC solutions in Europe and the potential for natural refrigerants to make an impact and take market share. It will also investigate the potential and significant energy savings achieved with natural heat pump solutions. The transport and MAC session will looking at the opportunities for natural refrigerant to grow in this sector.

The program will include case studies from many leading natural refrigerant companies including: Epta, Arneg, Dorin, Teko, Embraco Nidec, Secop and Danish start up Fenagy.
