The U.K-based Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) will host its Annual Conference online, under the theme “The Journey to Net Zero Heating and Cooling – Beyond Refrigeration 2021,” Wednesday, April 21 and Thursday, April 22.

This will be the first online conference from the IOR, which represents the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump (RACHP) sector. The event will be accessible to all. Fees start at £50 (US$69) + VAT per person with discounted fees available for students and for delegates from Article 5 (developing) countries under the Montreal Protocol and the seven countries with economies in transition.

The program will be packed with case studies that demonstrate how the RACHP sector is responding to the challenge of net zero heating and cooling by minimizing the need for cooling, maximizing the efficiency of RACHP systems, and developing innovative technologies that will change how we heat and cool buildings and processes.

Delegates to the conference will get the chance to access the event live and all sessions and recordings for up to six months afterwards. During the conference, attendees will also have access to a comprehensive set of conference papers, live webinars of all presentations and question/answer sessions with authors, key notes giving overviews of policy and global initiatives, and coffee lounge discussion sessions.

Additionally, attendees will be able to access papers from experts in the field of environmental policy development and global heating and cooling initiatives, and attend workshops on benchmarking, leakage reduction and low-global warming potential refrigerant options.

Conference Themes:

  • Combining/Balancing Heating and Cooling Demand,
  • Using Energy Intelligently,
  • Making use of Best Available Technology,
  • Reducing the Need for Mechanical Cooling,
  • Achieving Best System Performance,
  • Developing the Best People,
  • Skills, and
  • Working Together.
